Proudly sponsored by Music Theatre International, Junior Theatre Celebration Melbourne is a jazzhand-fueled experience where students and teachers connect, learn, and celebrate their passion for musical theatre!

Junior Theatre Celebration Melbourne is an exciting, jazzhand-fueled experience where students and teachers come together to celebrate their shared passion for musical theatre. Presented by OzTheatrics and proudly sponsored by Music Theatre International Australasia, JTC Melbourne offers an immersive and educational event designed to inspire and celebrate young performers.

Modeled after the national flagship event, Junior Theatre Festival Australia, JTC Melbourne places a strong emphasis on musical theatre education. Throughout the day, each school group performs a selection from their Broadway JR. musical for a panel of guest artists who provide valuable constructive feedback on key theatre skills, including diction, projection, acting through song, blocking, and character connection.

Beyond performances, students engage in interactive workshops, while teachers can take part in professional development sessions led by OzTheatrics teaching artists. Most importantly, JTC Melbourne brings together students, teachers, volunteers, and industry professionals in a vibrant, collaborative environment—a true celebration of musical theatre in schools and academies!
